Syed Khairi bin Syed Abbas holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Honours (2009) & Master’s in Civil Engineering by research (2012) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He was registered as a Professional Engineer (Ir.) (Civil) with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) and as a Professional Technologist (Ts.) (Building and Construction Technology – BC) with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT). He became a Corporate Member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and has been active as a Committee Member in the Highway Transportation Engineering Technical Division (HTETD, IEM) since 2015. He has experience of 7+ years in academic field involvement in management, administration, research, teaching & learning activities and 7+ of industry engineering practice in the civil engineering branch, especially in the traffic, highway, and transportation engineering specialization. In the company, he leads and conducts Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA) studies, feasibility studies, highway planning studies and other related traffic and transportation studies.

He aims to combine a range of experiences with a compassionate, enthusiastic, and approachable educator who will positively contribute to his organization.
