Syed Khairi Syed Abbas (SK) received the Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2006, 2009, and 2012, respectively. He began his career as a traffic and transportation engineer before transitioning into academia as a lecturer. After seven years, he returned to the industry as a senior traffic engineer while serving as a part-time lecturer. His research and expertise include traffic impact assessment, feasibility studies, master plans, and transportation planning studies. In addition, he is registered as a Professional Engineer (Civil) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and as a Professional Technologist (Building & Construction Technology) with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT). He is also a Corporate Member (MIEM) of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He actively serves as a Committee Member in the Highway and Transportation Engineering Technical Division (HTETD) of IEM. He aims to combine various experiences with a compassionate, enthusiastic, and approachable educator who will positively contribute to his organisation.
